The cultivation process of organic salmon is carried out according to a higher standard and supervision. Organic salmon is fed with sustainable, organic fish food, the raw material of the fish food comes from MSC certified fish.
Organic salmon swims inside a net with a density of more than 10 kg/m3, is free of treatment with copper and therefore has less impact on the environment. The farms that practise bio production, are not used for 4 months after the completion of the growth cycle. This is only 2 months at normal farms.
